K-5 ENGLISH TO SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES PATRICIA SAIN, ESOL TEACHER BS DEGREE-SPANISH - K-12 APPALACHIAN STATE UNIVERSITY MASTERS DEGREE-ESOL - K-12 UNC CHARLOTTE What is ESOL? ENGLISH FOR SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES Students are pulled out of the regular classroom in small groups and receive ESOL instruction in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. NEWS Students are being tested to determine their English language proficiency with the ACCESS Test. Testing will take place in February for all students. Test scores will be sent to you at the end of the school year. Also, you will be notified if your child has reached a superior rating in all areas and will be exited from the program.
