WELCOME TO MRS. SIGMON'S NOTE PAGE!!!

We are working hard at Bostian to always do what is best for each student.  Our staff has been learning many new staff devlopment strategies to be incorporating into their lessons.  We have been studying Debbie Diller's book, Making the Most of Small Groups and incorporating ideas from Larry Bell, a motivational speaker who has been working with our entire school system.  Students have learned the "12 Powerful words" that Mr. Bell has taught us.  These words will help students throughout their life on standardized tests.  Teachers will also be using a method called "unraavel" in reading and math.  Mr. Bell has lit a fire for all of us at Bostian and we look forward to sharing all of his ideas with you!

We have had an increase in morning tardies.  Please plan with your family so your child can get to school and not have to rush as he/she begins the school day.

For 3rd-5th grades, we will be starting a Prescriptive Instruction program Tues-Thurs. after school as well as Wed. mornings.  If you are interested in volunteering to help us monitor students during this time, please let me know.  We do need help with this as our remediation funds were cut from our budget.

I would like to thank parents, staff, and students for your continued support as principal.  It takes ALL of us doing our part to do what is best for each child.  Please remember that I have an open door policy and welcome your concerns or suggestions at any time.  Thanks as always to our students, staff, and parents for your hard work each and every day to make Bostian the BEST school around!!
