22 May 21, 2009 Hello again from the wonderfulworld of science. This will be the last update forthe semester. Announcements: No School Monday—Memorial day. There will be a test on NorthCarolina’s geological history next Tuesday. Exam projects are due by 29 May. Exam Exemptions! · Some students will be able to exempt their examin Earth/environmental science. Only students who fit one of the followingconditions will be exempt (This includes the exam project!). o Students with an “A” average and no MORE than 3absences o Students with a “B” average and no MORE than 2absences o Students with a “C” average and no MORE than 1absence Present topic: We will begin discussing the geological history of NorthCarolina. We will look at what has happened in the past 3 to 4 billion years,from the early formation of North America to present day North Carolina. Thisis an intense section and students need to be focused for the entirediscussion. I present this information to the class. As always, if you have any questions or comments, pleasefeel free to let me know.
