South Rowan Chorus  SPRING SEMESTER 2011

Congratulations to our Varsity Singers for receiving a SUPERIOR rating at the State Festival Competition at Wingate University on March 18.   They performed "Elijah Rock" by Moses Hogan and "Ave Maria" arranged by Biebl. 

Congratulations to Chorus 2 and Varsity Singers for another succcessful, sold out dinner theater production of our 10th annual  ENGLISH MADRIGAL FEAST on March 25-26!  Thank you to each of the 80 students who were involved in this two night production!  Thank you to all who attended and supported our Chorus musical theater production.

COMING SOON:

SPRING CONCERT:  Monday, May 23, 7 PM

All classes will join in song for the last time as we pay tribute to our seniors in our final concert on Monday, May 23.  There will be a required joint rehearsal on Saturday, May 21 from 8 - 11 AM to properly rehearse for this last concert. All classes will combine for the opening and closing to the concert, and then each class and Show Choir will present its individual selections.  Please let us entertain you once more this year in our concert, "Set the Night to Music". Hope to see you there!

Varsity Singers will also sing for the Senior Baccularueate Service at 1st Reformed Church in Landis on Sunday afternoon, June 5.

ADDITIONAL MAJOR NEEDS:    If any business or individual would like to donate a copier  to our choral department, please contact Mrs. Gore.   Also, there is a great need for new curtains in our school auditiorium which will cost between $5000-6000.  Another important need that we have  is to renovate the auditorium's sound and lighting systems, and improve the acoustics overall in the auditorium. As South is preparing to be 50 years old,  it is time to improve our performance facility, but we need your help.   If any business would like to sponsor this major
