Alternative Program of EXcellence
serves K-5 population


Important things to note: 
  • Your student needs to read aloud to an adult each evening for 20 minutes.
  • Your student will have some homework to complete each week, in addition to reading each night.
  • Your student will not need any toys at school.
  • Please sign your student's progress note each evening.
  • After your student completes his homework each night, please sign his/her agenda, so we are aware that he/she has completed his homework. Please do not sign it unless he/she has completed all of his homework.
  • If you would like to donate supplies to the class, you're welcome to.  However, please see me first, so I can let you know what we need.


There are initially 3 basic skills that we will focus on:
  • Following Instructions
  • Accepting Feedback or "no"
  • Peer Skills

However, they may change to address your student's individual needs.

Your student will have opportunities to participate in recess with the other students and can earn various privileges, as well.
