Happy New Year!!


  Check out the new bulletin board on the main hall labeled "ClassScape Achievers". This board is designed to encourage all third through fifth graders to strive to do their absolute best on the monthly classscape assessments. The board is divided into three clubs; the 50% club; the 70% club and the 85% club. All students that scored between 50% and 69% in Reading, Math or Science have their name on the 50% club. Students scoring between 70 - 84 are listed in the 70% club and 85 or higher are in the 85% club. If you have noticed the 85% club is small but hopefully I will be moving more students into this club in February.

 Ask your student about Larry Bell and the 12 Powerful Words!
All students are learning the 12 powerful word and starting the week of January 11th I will be spotlighting students in the hall, cafeteria, playground, and classroom. If the student can answer a question about some of the 12 words then they will recieve  a coupon for an "extra" at lunch.

The 12 powerful words are words that all students need to know unorder to be successful in school and on the end of grade tests.

   


Thank you to all the parents of our bus riders for having your students ready and waiting for the bus.
On cold mornings your child may wait inside as long as they are watching and ready for the bus so the driver does not have to wait on them.

    Report Cards PEP's and Conferences

Second quarter report cards will be issued on February 2nd. Teachers will be contacting parents of students that have a personal education plan (PEP) to update and revise.  Please try to make it to the scheduled conference.
