Dear Parents and Students,

We are back and in secession, gearing up and ready to make the 2009-2010 school year a successful one.  Thank you to all who have donated school supplies to the classroom.  This comes in very handy for those in need.

  Reading logs were given out at the beginning of the year so I can monitor your child's independent reading progress.  Make sure your child reads every night to ensure their success.  Inital their reading log as well.  I will be checking these regularly and having conferences with your child to check their progress.

Our class will be taking a field trip  to Horizons Unlimited in December.  There, we will be learning about electricity and magnetisim as well as doing some "heart healthy" activities.  This program is aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study for fourth grade.
