We have many exciting things happening at Granite Quarry.  I hope you can participate.   If you have a child coming to us new (PreK or Kindergarten) next year, we have packets at the front office for you. Current immunizations and physicals are required.  It's not too soon to schedule a NC Kindergarten physical for your child.  Doctor's offices have these specail forms or you can pick up one in our office at school.   Your child's vision and hearing will be checked at the doctor.  If there are problems with either of these early followup is needed.  If I can help after they come to school, please let me know.

I want to remind you that if you have a rising 6th grader next year, the new Tdap vaccine is required prior to entry.  Call the Health Dept. or your Dr. for an appt.  The school will need proof of the vaccine so if you would like to get ahead of the rush and your child is already eleven, go ahead and have them vaccinated.  I will be glad to file the paperwork in their school record here.

Remember to encourage your children in their schoolwork.  You are their biggest assets.  If they are struggling with anything at school, please let their teacher know.  We want all of the children to succeed.

Should you have any concerns for your children's vision or hearing please call me or send me a note.  I can screen them at school so you can have an idea if they should be futher assessed by a doctor. In these hard times I also have resources to help you with appointments for eye exams.
