Reading: Our fifth grade reading class is hard at work! One main focus is our vocabulary study. Our study includes learning the meaning of stems in addition to learning new words. We certainly have some rare and unusual words! "Caught Ya", Word Games, novel studies, and much more are also components of our reading class. We also enjoy seminar discussions through some great literature. Our discussions are always lively and interesting. Coming Soon: Math: Homework Assignments for the week of: December 19 - 22 Monday: "Sharks Seen" Venn Diagrams Tuesday: pages 19-20 Workbook A Order of Operations Wednesday: "Show What You Know" thousandths, order of operations, stem and leaf, dividend, mean, free choice Thursday: OPEN Problem Solving Sheet 6 is due Friday! Don't Forget To: ---Study your vocabulary words. Remember to review the stems. ---Turn in each week's Problem Solving Sheet by Friday. --Read daily!
