List:  *** Note:  The study/practice list of  words will change during the week.  Your child is  learning to use concept/spelling patterns rather than memorizing  an isolated list of words.  Please help your child practice spelling and reading quickly (fluency)  the words each day.  Words on the Friday test may come from any of the practice words we work on during the week so that students are  using and applying the concepts learned.  Hopefully, with your support and lots of practice, your child will acquire reading and spelling strategies that he/she can use the rest of his/her life!!!

Parent HW: read & review all information and homework assignments in your child's agenda.  Notice the color your child uses to circle the date.  Green reflects a great day- your child has followed directions well, has been respectful to teachers & classmates, your child has been attentive and tried his/her best.  Yellow indicates your child has needed reminders from a teacher regarding behavior and choices he/she has made that day; red indicates your child's choices about behavior and work habits have created a problem for his/her learning and that of others in the classroom--please conference with your child about your expectations for his/her behavior and learning at school.  Thank you!  Remember , we are teaching together!!!!!
