![]() HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!! BE SAFE!!!! Dear Parents: I give you back your children, the same children you confidently entrusted to my care last fall. I give them back pounds heavier, inches taller, months wiser, more responsible, and more mature than they were then. Although they would have attained their growth in spite of me, it has been my privilege to watch their personalities unfold day by day and marvel at this splendid miracle of development. I give them back reluctantly, for having spent nine months together in the narrow confines of a crowded classroom, we have grown close, have become a part of each other, and we shall always retain a little of each other. Ten years from now if we met on the street, your child and I, a light will shine to our eyes, a smile to our lips, and we shall feel the bond of understanding once more, this bond we feel today. We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year. I wish it could go on indefinitely, but give them back I must. Take care of them, for they are precious. Remember that I shall always be interested in your children and their destiny, wherever they go, whatever they do, whoever they become. Their joys and sorrows I'll be happy to share. I SHALL ALWAYS BE THEIR FIREND. Author Unknown ************************ 24 Things to Always Remember and One Thing to "Never Forget" Your presence is a present to the world. You're unique and one of a kind. Your life can be what you want it to be. Take the days just one at a time. Count your blessings, not your troubles. You'll make it through whatever comes along. Within you are so many answers. Understand, have courage, be strong. Don't put limits on yourself. So many dreams are waiting to be realized. Decisions are too important to leave to chance. Reach for your peak, your goal, your prize. Nothing wastes money more than worrying. The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets. Don't take things too seriously. Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets. Remember that a little love goes a long way. Remember that a lot....goes forever. Remember that friendship is a wise investment. Life's treasures are people...together. Realize that it's never too late. Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way. Have health and hope and happiness. Take the time to wish upon a star. And don't ever forget.... for even a day...how very special you are. Collin McCarty ******************************************* READERS ARE LEADERS!!!!! The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR JOURNEY!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! We have completed our journey through First Grade. I want to commend each and every one of you for your hard work and dedication to learning. You have all accepted the challenges of a changing curriculum and given your best each and every day. I am very proud of your accomplishments. Some days we all felt overwhelmed but together we helped each other and checked off our list. Thankyou to all my parents who worked extremely hard to help us accomplish our goals. You are all wonderful!! I can't say how many times parents asked if we needed anything. You were always ready to do whatever was needed. You did homework every night, you read with your child endlessly, you made sure they were at school ready to learn each day. My sincerest thanks for your commitment and unending support. Take care and have a wonderful summer vacation! You deserve it!!!! SEE YOU IN AUGUST!!!! |
