Florida Trip!
Our trip to Florida has been approved by the Rowan-Salisbury's Board of Education during April vacation. The cost of the trip is $500.00 per person. This cost covers admission to the parks at Disney World, Hotel, Workshop and Transportation.
Florida Trip Payment Schedule
NOW DUE Payment #1 due $100.00 December 12th Payment #2 due $100.00 January 16th Payment #3 due $100.00 February 13th Payment #4 due $100.00 March 6th Final Payment due $100.00
It is very important that we stick to the schedule above. We must send payments on a monthly basis. If you would like to pay the whole amount up front that would be fine. Each student must have the amount listed above in their individual "accounts" by the date listed. All fundraisers will be applied to the student's individual "account" once the fundraiser has been completed.

We have recently partnered up with Food Lion with the LionShop and Share program. Lionshop and Share is the easiest, most convenient way to raise money for the Carson High School Band program. Each time you shop at Food Lion and use your MVP card, a portion of your total grocery purchase will be donated to the band program. You can help us raise money by signing up at foodlion.com, and searching for the JESSE CARSON HIGH SCHOOL BAND, or by completing the Food Lion file attachment and sending it in to school with your child. As always, we appreciate your continued support of the Carson High School Bands.

Friday, December 5th
Tickets are now on sale for the Chicken Dinner sale on Friday, December 5th in the Carson High School Band Room. Tickets are $8.00 a piece. Tickets may be purchased from any band member. Pick-up times are from 10:30AM-7:00PM. Parents that order 10 or more dinners for their workplace will be responsible for delivery of those dinners. Proceeds go to our trip to Florida during spring break. Please call the JCHS band room if you have any questions (704-855-5042).

Concert Band Section
Great start to the year Band I students! I have really enjoyed getting to know you. So far, we have taken quizzes on the Concert B-flat and Concert E-flat scales. We will continue to work on new scales from week to week. All scales will have to be memorized for your end of semester test. Keep practicing your music: Encanto, Rythmos, Star Wars, Knights of Dunvegan, Into the Storm and Cartoon Symphony.
Here are the scales that we will be working on over the next several weeks.
