I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful fall weather.  The children had a great time at Patterson Farm and learned a lot about how pumpkins grow.  We will be completing our unit on fall this week and beginning one on community helpers.  In math we will continue learning the numbers and number words zero to ten, working with the words more and fewer, and doing several graphing activities.  In reading, we will finish up a unit on color words and begin learning basic sight words.  Writer's workshop is going well as the children use the skills learned in Zoophonics to sound out words and make sentences.  A reminder note will be sent home Oct. 29 of conference times for the report card.  Remember school dismisses at 12:00 on this day and no school on Friday, Oct. 30.
