Hello to all visitors. This is Jenny Kennerly, principal of China Grove Elementary, and I would like to welcome you to my SchoolNotes page. I am very excited about this school year. We have a lot of exciting things happening for October. Several grade levels have field trips. We will also be playing a basketball game against China Grove Middle School on Tuesday, October 20 at 630 at China Grove Middle. The proceeds from this event will support both Relay for Life and China Grove Elementary PTA. Our 4th graders will be participating in the first of their local writing assessments on October 13. On October 14, the Red Cross will be presenting a handwashing program to our students called the, "Scrubby Bear" program. We are doing this to help ward off the flu. Finally, we will have an early release day on October 29. Students will be released from school at 1230 that day so that teachers may participate in staff development. Also on that day, students may wear a costume to school for a $1.00 donation to PTA. The costume may not include a mask and should not violate our dress code policy.
