Welcome to the Hanford-Dole Art Department! We are fortunate to have a beautiful Art Room again this year!  Children have been able to create wonderful works of Art this year which include paintings, drawings and clay sculptures. Current Information: I see ALL of the students at HDES every week, once a week. Lessons in our Art Rooms are integrated with the learning that the children do in their regular classrooms. For example: While students are learning about North Carolina History in their Social Studies class, we will create Arts & crafts that are native to North Carolina, in the Art Room. Parent Involvement: Be sure to check out the websites listed at the bottom of this page. Many of these Art websites have projects that you can do at home with your children, with very simple materials. They are some of my favorites!! Upcoming Information: Be sure to check out Waterworks Visual Arts Center's Children's Art Class offerings via thier website: Waterworks.org I will be teaching clay classes there throughout the school year and I would love to see some of my HDES & CGES students there!
