We are very proud of the students and staff at North for meeting 17 outof 17 or 100% of our No Child Left Behind goals for the 2008-2009 year.Our focus for the 2009-2010 year will be Reading. Our goal is to haveevery student reading on grade level by the third grade year. It willrequire effort on the part of teachers, students and families if we areto reach this goal. We are also very proud of the progress that hasbeen made in transitioning our school into a 21st Century LearningCommunity. We appreciate the support we receive from our Faith-BasedCommunity as well as the community at large.With everyone workingtogether we will continue to make progress.Our Communities In SchoolsFamily Center is an available resource for everyone and we look forwardto working with our entire school community throughout the comingyear.It is amazing what can be accomplished when nobody cares whoreceives thecredit.                                                                                                                                                    We will begin tutoring in late January as weprepare students for the end of grade testing in May. We ask thatparents be on the lookout for materials that students may bring home tohelp with this effort.
