WELCOME TO MRS. BAILEY AND MS. WARD'S KINDERGARTEN

Please read with your child every day. Let him/her read the words that they will be learning. Be sure to write down ALL books that you read at home together.
Our workshops for these units will include writing, reading, math using numbers and graphing, science and social studies.

In January, we will be learning all about Winter weather and it's changes.  We will also learn about how Winter affects animals and us. 
 We will celebrate Martin Luther King's birthday as well as Chinese New Year.

The letters for the month are Uu, Bb, Ff will be studied as well.
We are reviewing all skills learned so far for report cards in February.

Dates to Know:
January 5..... Return to school
January 18... Martin Luther King day (school holiday)

We will also be meeting all our 'ZOO PALS'. Please ask your child each night about which animal he/ she has met and the sounds they make. These sounds will soon become words that we can read!!!!
Have your child introduce our new "Zoo" buddies to you and the sound it makes.

Agendas: Please check and sign your child's agenda daily. Be sure to check back pocket for any special notes or homework. Check your child's color dot each day. Praise your child for green and possibly reward with ice cream. For a yellow, red or purple, please remind your child of the rules and the importance of following them. ICE CREAM DAY is FRIDAY every week. Thursday Folders: Folders will come home each Thursday with your child's work from the previous week. Please go over the work with your child and you may keep it. We may also send important notes from the school in the folder as well.
