HELP WANTED

1. Please work on cutting and coloring.
2. Please help your child learn to tie his/her shoes, button and zip pants and coats.
3. Send all monies in an envelope labeled with child's name, how much money, what the money is for, pin number
4. Encourage neatness in all work.
5. Encourage good listening and following class directions the FIRST time they are given.
6. Please continually review skills we are learning.
7. Please have car riders to the classroom by 7:50 to unpack and be ready to start at 8:00.  Students should not come to the classroom until 7:40.
8. Please send us a note when you plan to pick your child up early.  Also, send a note for the office when your child is out of school explaining the absence.
9. Please read carefully all the information sent home from the school office and from our classroom.
10. Work on learning phone number and address and birthday.
11. When you read a book to your child, ask questions about the story to improve comprehension and to practice retelling the story.
12.  Students passing the BPA (book and print awareness) test will begin bringing home books to read in Nov.
13.  Show and tell--Help your child think of clues to describe the show and tell item and practice these clues.
14.  We are having quite a few problems with lost coats.  Talk to your child about keeping up with his/her coat.  Help us by writing your child's name on the label in the neck.







REMINDERS

1  Return library books on Wednesday.
2. Send notes for the office when your child is absent.
3. PE Day is on Monday-wear tennis shoes.
4. Please send notes if you know your child will be picked up early.
5. Return homework on time.  Check over it to be sure it is neat and complete.  Please read the directions carefully, especially on the letter of the week workbook page.
6. Ask your child periodically if he/she needs pencils, crayons, erasers, glue sticks.
7. Please check, sign, and return brown envelopes each day. This is our way of communicating with you every day.
8. Remember to sign and return Thursday folders. Please review the work that your child did that week.
