()      Welcome  ()

Welcome to 2nd Grade and to this informational webpage.  On this page you will find info on second grade curriculum, important dates, current events, school related topics, and special occasions.  Please note that this page is updated regularly and is a great resource to your child's academic career.

A way to stay up-to-date with your child's grades is to check out this site:  http://www.engrade.com/earnhardtlb  (This is a new website due to Chalksite being terminated.  I will help you register during our parent conference if you wish OR you can log on anytime to register - remember it's FREE!)

This will be a year of rapid academic growth.  Please continue to be involved in your child's school work in as many positive ways as possible.  I promise to do my very best in preparing your child for his/her future.  In order for this to be successful, I believe working together as a team can only benefit your child.  Anytime throughout the year that you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.  Sending notes in your child's planner is the best way or send an email which I check regularly.  Thanks for your time and cooperation.

Lani B. Earnhardt

  • Math -  During the 2nd quarter students will work on number sense to 999.  This includes adding, subtracting, place value, identifying odd/even numbers, solving word problems and choosing operations.
  • Social Studies - Our social studies curriculum will be integrated into our main content areas.  We will learn how our community has changed over time, importance and roles of being a good citizen, and discover basic wants & needs.
  • Science - Students will be learning about different animal life cycles, changes in weather, identify the forms of matter, and discover how sound moves.

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you!
