Happy New Year!

We are almost in the second half of our school year!  It has been a great start.  I look forward to all the wonderful things your children are going to be doing in the coming months.

Reading News
Our reading theme for 2009-2010 will be "Plant a Seed, READ!"

Beginning March 2nd, we will be learning about and following the Iditarod race in Alaska.  This dog sled race takes place each year and creates a lot of excitement in our classrooms.  Look for more information to follow.

Math News
Multiplication facts are very important in fourth grade... keep working on them!  I have added a link at the bottom of this page for an online version of our math book.  My students have a password that they can use to access it from home.

Social Studies and Science

We will begin the year with Social Studies and then alternate between that and Science.  We are currently studying famous North Carolinians.  Did you know that three of our former presidents were from North Carolina?

Below are listed items that are not on our supply list, but that we can always use.  If you would like to donate any of these items to our classroom, I would like to say,    "THANK YOU!!"
