Second Grade Behavior Plan

2011 - 2012

RULES

Respect yourself and others

Follow directions

Be a good listener

Come to school prepared

This year our class will be using a Clip Chart Behavior System.  Each student will have a clothes pin that has their name on it.  All students will begin their day in the middle section (green) titled “Ready to Learn”.  Throughout the day the students will have opportunities to move their clothes pin either up or down.  Please refer to the model to understand each level.

Purple
This level is titled “outstanding day”.  Students may work their way up to this level by going well above and beyond what is expected each day.

 Pink
This level is titled “Great Day”.  Again, students may work their way up to this level by going beyond what is expected.

 Blue
This level is titled “Good Day”.  If a student clips up to this level, they have had a good day, worked hard, and showed good citizenship.
 Green
This level is titled “Ready to Learn” and is where all students will begin each day.  If a student stays on this color all day, they have done exactly what is expected of them.

Yellow
This level is titled “Think About It”.  If a student clips down to this level, it is just a warning and no other action will take place.

 Orange
This level is titled “Teacher’s Choice.  If a student is at this level, it means that they have continued to make wrong choices and will face a consequence.  (ex.  Silent lunch, being separated from the class, etc).

 Red
This level is titled “Parent Contact”.  If a student is on this level, you as the parent, will be contacted.  We will need to discuss your child’s behavior and create a plan for improvement.  If your child reaches this level, they will not be able to move back up for the rest of the day.  They will, however, begin on green the following day.

Please check your child’s agenda daily for a report as to how their day was.  I will be keeping a daily record of your child’s behavior.  Each day they will earn points that they can redeem on Friday by going to the Prize Bucket.  If you have any  questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.  Classroom Behavior
