Welcome to Ms. Hubbards Theatre Arts I Page Here you'll find information about your Theatre Arts Class Week 1: We get to know each other, learn Theatre policies and procedures and begin to learn about our body and voice as used by the actor. Week 2: We learn exercises and practice activities that create trust and support within our group. Week 3: We learn about the elements that go into creating a stage character. week 4: We learn improvisation techniques to improve our acting and thinking skills. Week 5 : We learn about audition techniques and audition for and are cast in our Fall/Spring Drama Production. Weeks 6 & 7: We write our own Fractured Fairy Tales and perform them for our classmates. We learn about blocking and basic stage techniques in our groups. Week 8: We study the origins of Theatre in Ancient Greece and do Greek Theatre scenes. Weeks 9-14: We spend the next 6 weeks rehearsing for our Drama Night Production with stops along the way to learn about blocking, sets, props, costumes and other important aspects of our production. Week 13-14: We work on creating our Theatre Portfolio, a record of all we've accomplished in theatre this semester. It includes our headshot and resume.
