Stuff to think about:

• The online writing portfolio-don't stress. We'll figure this thing out. Just do your best and don't slack on your self.
• WordSkills-Do it. It will destroy your grade if you don't.
  
• Books we want to read. Some thoughts: The Outsiders, The Schwa Was Here, Boy, Tales of Childhood, Chasing Vermeer. If there is a book you think we should read as a class, please let me know!
• Projects: I always want to hear what you think would make a good project. Please talk to me about your interests, hobbies, and talents. Maybe we can take them and turn it into a lesson!
  

 TerraCycle: Please bring in your Capri Sun juice pouches. We get money for recycling them. Every penny helps!

One reason I want you to become a better writer is that writing is a crucial skill for communicating via the internet. More classes, more jobs, more social interaction is moving to this media. To make sure you are understood by the person(s) on the other side, it is essential to have solid writing skills. One wrong word choice can make quite the mess!
