8th grade American History: Read Section 4 of Chapter 9 "Urbanization" and Chapter 10 "The Gilded Age". Notes on Gilded Age and Urbanization being taken in class. Watch for Section Quiz Dittos coming home as homework next week. Test will be given on the Notes. Students may use their notes. 8th grade Religion: Fr. Dan will be in on Wednesday to talk to the class about Advent and preparing well for Christmas. We will continue with Chapter 6 of our text. We will also be looking at the history of our Church around 800 AD. A flyer went home with the students concerning The Silver Ring Thing which will be held on Friday, Jan. 16, 2010. It will be held at Seton - LaSalle High School. You can register on line at www.silverringthing.com . Just click the date of the event. The cost is $5.00 if you register on line. There is alot of information about Silver Ring Thing on the web site including some great video. 7h Grade Religion: We will be working on our Jesse Tree and discussing the symbols as members of the family tree of Jesus. Chapter 4 Test will be taken when we return from Thanksgiving break.
An Advent Prayer Come, Lord Jesus. You are the light in the darkness of our lives. You are the rest from the frantic, misguided activities in which we find ourselves engaged. Your coming offers us hope that there is meaning and fulfillment beyond our feeble attempts to rise above our failings.
