  • I am now accepting Christmas help applications.  Please stop by or contact me by phone at (704) 279-2899 if you need Christmas assistance and an application. These forms are due not later than November 4th.

What do school counselors do?

  • Talk with individual students
  • Meet with student in small groups
  • Visit classrooms to teach lessons about things that will help students in school and out of school, such as, bullying, stress management, study skills, friendship skills, and testing skills.
  • Assist with intervention for at-risk students. 

 

  Who is a school counselor for?

Your school counselor is here for EVERYONE!  I am here for every student, every teacher, and every parent who is part of the Shive Elementary community. 

  

Character Word of the Month

"Patriotism"

Your child(ren) will be taught the character word of the month in the morning announcements, their classroom, and in guidance classes.  Please talk with you child(ren) about having Patriotism for our country.
