Homework
Students will read 30 minutes a night. They can read any type of literature.  I want my students to like to read.  I don't want them to read just for an AR test.

Spelling Homework
Monday nights- Write the words 4 times each.
Tuesday nights- Write complete sentences with each spelling word.
Wednesday nights- Study for spelling test 1.  If students make a 100 on this test they do not have retake the spelling test on Friday.
Thursday Nights- If a 100 was not made on the Thursday spelling test  then they will need to study for the Friday final spelling test for the week.

Math
Math will be a page from the math homework workbook.  It will be problems for a concept that I taught during the day.  Students should bring home math notebook every night for the notes they take.  This notebook will help them with their homework.
*** Parents please sign your child's agenda nightly!***

My main rule in class is to have fun. If a child can't have fun learning then they hate to come to school. If they hate to come to school then they don't learn anything. It's the same way for teachers. If a teacher doesn't have fun teaching then he/she hates thier job and is doing a great injustice to their students. So I try to make my students enjoy learning.

"Humour is by far the most significant activity of the human brain."
- Edward De Bono
