We will begin Chapter 6 this week and a quiz will be given on Friday.  On day one of your child's class, we will be multiplying fractions and mixed numbers.  Day two we will divide fractions and mixed numbers.  Day three we will solve equations with fractions.  Day four (Friday) will be the Chapter 6 test.  Your child will have homework every night, so please ask your child daily if they have completed their assignments.

Please work with your child each night, and encourage your child to take part in the second chance opportunities.  Any grade other than major tests may be redone in order to make a higher grade.  If a student makes poorly on an assignment, I will work with him/her individually if needed in order to help them better understand.  Then they can redo a similar assignment for the opportunity to increase their grade.

If your child is struggling with any math lesson, I am available to help anyone every morning during 2nd period, during break, or during SPARKS.  I am also available after school by appointment.
