����������WELCOME TO LANGUAGE ARTS �������������� WITH MRS. CYR Our 8th grade language arts class is a�blend of reading and writing. We will include analyzing literature and non-fiction articles, works and medias.� Most of our writing is in response to novels and short stories, with a focus on preparation for the CMT and CAPT and an emphasis on persuasive writing.� Students will develop their skills in vocabulary, elaboration, editing and revising, along with the appropriate use of grammar.� There are numerous connections with Social Studies and other content areas.
