Civics and Economics Course Information:  Topics will cover American Revolution, Articles of Confederation, Bill of Rights, branches of government, state and local government, constitution, American economy and citizenship. You must make a 3 or 4 on the End-of-Course test in order to pass the class!

Materials needed for class:

  1. Three ring binder (no smaller than an inch)
  2. College ruled notebook paper
  3. Pencils and/or blue/black ink pens

Notebooks are important in this class because we will use its entirety at the end of the semester for the EOC and final exam review. We will have 4 notebook checks before each progress report and report card!

Grades:  Grading will be on a point system. You are encouraged to keep a tally sheet in your notebook. You will be given a participation grade. Some assignments may be worth 10 pints while larger assignments and test may be worth up to 200 points. It is important that you complete all assignments, even the 10 point assignments will hurt your grade if they are incomplete!  Please keep it neat, if you need any help...JUST ASK!!

Classroom Rules:  Each student must follow all school rules listed in the school handbook.

  1. Be in your seat when the bell rings
  2. Respect each other and your teacher.
  3. Be prepared, everyday!
  4. No food or drink is allowed in the room! (Exception: You are allowed to have bottled drinks)
  5. Clean up your mess!
