Hi Parents and Students! This past week we have been busy getting ready for our Thanksgiving Feast. The children look forward to having you all attend the special event. This next week we will be continuing our Character Development cards. Your children and I are reviewing on what being "Helpful" means. We will introduce the letter "Cc" and "Dd" we also are working on the letters "Mm," "Hh," and "Ss." I will also be reviewing how to write the number 6 with the children. We will be working on number concepts 1-9 and counting to 20. Monday, November 16th - Cookie Making Day! The children and I will be mixing up Chocolate Chip Cookies and later baking them with the help of Stephanie R., "Hannah's Mom." Wednesday, November 18th - Thanksgiving Feast at 10:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. Our class will be dressing up like Pilgrims. Wednesday, November 18th - Progress Reports will be going home on Wednesday instead of Friday, November 20th. If you would like to sign them and return both the envelope and progress report card signed by Friday, Nov. 20th or no later than Monday, Nov. 30th. Friday, November 20th - The children will be bringing home practice name sheets and a laminated alphabet page. You can have the children practice writing their names over Thanksgiving break. After our Thanksgiving break I will no longer be writing their names on the children's papers. It is my goal to help them build confidence on writing their names and remembering which letter goes where, etc... They are doing awesome and I know this will be an easy transition. Our Star Student this next week will be Addison. Thank you so much Simali for being our Star Student this past week. The children loved the fruit snacks you brought for our treat! It was fun to see all your pictures of your family and things you love! Our bible verse for next week is “O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good.” Psalm 106:1 Future Important Dates:
Thanksgiving Feast - November 18th - Come enjoy with your child a special day where we eat as the Indians and Pilgrims in Fellowship Hall. Fun family event!
Christmas Program- December 8th Tuesday Evening 6:30 p.m. L.C.A. Preschool Christmas Program - Children will sing to their families in a special planned Christmas event - celebrating Jesus Christ's birth! If you should ever have any questions or need to speak with me please feel free to stay after class on either Wednesdays or Fridays. I apologize but on Mondays I am going to be the Stay & Play teacher after class, so my time is limited. You are also more than welcome to email me if needed. God Bless!! |
