Please note that teacher conference day is this Thursday, Feb 9, from 12 until 7. This is an excellent opportunity for you to come in and discuss your student with their teacher, especially if grades have been slipping. With the approaching of spring, students tend to get distracted by the nicer weather so it is important to monitor your child's homework assignments and make sure they get done. Along with my responsibilities as casemanager for my special education students, I am also the 504 coordinator for the school. If you have any questions regarding a student that falls in either category, please do not hesitate to email me. I will be out 3rd and 4Th periods in Math inclusion classes, then in my classroom the remainder of the day. My planning will be 2nd period this year and 1st period will be dedicated to working with 504 matters. I will eat 1st lunch. My goals: I will, once again, be working on organizational skills, work completion skills and strategies to help students be successful in their regular classrooms during my Fundamental Skills classes. It is important for parents to check school notes and agendas regularly to make sure all assignments are complete, we usually cannot complete everything that needs to be done for regular classes in Fundamental Skills class, students will still have homework. If you need to reach me, the easiest way is to e-mail me at cskelly@bedford.k12.va.us and ask me to call you. You can also call me at 525-2674 Ext 382. I will return your call as quickly as I can. My planning period is from 8:55 - 9:48. |
