![]() Dear Parents, I hope all have begun their year with a bang. We sure have! Your children have returned with a great commitment for learning. To support their zest for learning, do your part by reading to them each night, help them with their homework, but most of all show interest in what they have learned each day at school. I have listed below the things we will be working on in the upcoming weeks.
Sight Words: red, blue, green, yellow, orange, purple, pink, brown, black, white, I, see, it, at, my, like, you, a, as, be, he, she, to, is, are, and, go, on, in, here, with, was, for. Math: counting to 100, writing our numbers 1 - 30, exploring groups of 10’s, greater than/less than/equal to, measuring. Science: seasons, matter of property Social Studies: traditions of Italy, India. Lang. Arts: similarities of authors, reading with fluency, re telling what we read, writing 2/3 sentences. Dates to Remember: January 17 - school closed, January 21 - teacher workday, January 24 - teacher workday, February 14 - Q/U Wedding, February 18 - early release, March 25 - early release, February 28 teacher workday. ***January 20th is Writing Workshop Night in our room...6 - 7pm*** Mrs. Collins |
