Did you know...?

...that our 5th graders help keep our school safe by serving on our Safety Patrol? Each 5th grade student at Rockwell will get to be a member of the Safety Patrol at some point in the school year.  These students are expected to maintain good grades and conduct, in order to be a good example for others and to continue their assigned duties.  Our Safety Patrol does a fantastic job of encouraging others to walk safely in the hallways.  Hats off to our Rockwell Elementary Safety Patrol!!

Here are the responsibilities of the Safety Patrol students.

➢   Be courteous and kind at all times—No bossing students around!
➢    Assist students in getting to their class or other places in the school.
➢    Assist and direct parents to places in the building.
➢    Help teachers who may need a favor.
➢    Politely ask students to stop running, pushing, etc. if you see it happen.  If they refuse, please inform another adult. You are NEVER to do anything other than politely ask them to stop if their behavior is causing a safety problem.
➢    Maintain good grades and good conduct at all times.
➢    Smile and say “good morning” to parents, students, and staff.
➢    Do not lean or sit while monitoring your assigned area. You should stand in the middle of the hallway to encourage students to walk on the right side.

➢    Be back in your regular classroom no later than 8:00 A.M.—No Excuses!
