Dear Parents & Students,

     Welcome Back to a new year at West!  I look forward to interacting and teaching your daughter/son.  As in the past, students have taught me to become a better teacher and hope this year is no exception!!

     Ninety-Six percent of the students returned their 'signed permission' form today.  Ninety-eight percent of the students dressed out today.  I am striving for 100% on Monday.

     Your daughter is being pre-tested for lower and upper abdominal strength, shoulder and chest strength, leg strength, and cardiovascular endurance during the first week of school.  If you have questions, please ask.  Out Health classes will be in MU 1 this year.  Health will be Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Students need to dress out for Physical Education Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.

Everyone has passed, but my grades are not posted or complete.  Congratulations!!

Also everyone who missed 8 days or more has completed their time. I commend these students for completing their responsibility. 

Other good news.....4 freshman ran the mile at 7:15 to beat the heat at 10am on Tuesday.....way to go future grads of 2014!!

GOLF:

Girls Golf Sign-ups were last week.  We have 4 returning players / 2 graduated / one is ineligible because of age.

Girls summer practices will begin June 20, Monday at Rolling Hills;  June 22 Wednesday at McCanless.  This is tentative.  We will meet at 8:30am
