Welcome to the Nurse Notes Page: We are looking forward to the warmer spring days. I do hope that we will not see more illness such as the flu and stomach viruses that have kept some children home. Remember to cover coughs, keep children home if running fever (100 or greater) and seek medical attention as needed. Parents of 5th graders: Tdap vaccine is mandatory prior to entry into middle school. Avoid the rush and make an appointment with your child's doctor or health department now. Parents with rising kindergarten students for 10/11: It is not too early to think about getting your child's physical and final shots. Most doctors have the forms. The school can give you the physical form if you would like to pick one up. Watch the website for kindergarten registration times. If your child has health issues please contact me so we can safely serve your child at Rockwell. Wanda Myers, RN, NCSN 704-213-4538 |
