As you know there has been lots of flu and other sickness going around in our community and school.  Children are being encouraged to cover coughs, use good hand-washing techniques and parents are urged to keep sick children home.  The CDC recommends ill people stay home, especially anyone running a fever of 100 or more.  Children need to be fever-free for 24 hours without the aide of medication to bring fever down.  See also the school's website for more information on HINI.

Parents with rising 6th graders: Tdap vaccine is mandatory prior to entry into middle school.  Avoid the rush and make an appointment with your child's doctor or health department now.

Parents with rising kindergarten students for 10/11:  It is not too early to think about getting your child's physical and final shots.  Most doctors have the forms.  The school can give you the physical form if you would like to pick one up.
