 Welcome to the South Rowan FFA!!! FFA is a student organization for those enrolled in an agriculture class. To be a member, you must pay $10 dues annually to either Mr. Overcash or Ms. Hoffner. Throughout the year, FFA members will have the opportunity to attend monthly FFA meetings, compete in Career Development Events (contests), attend leadership workshops, travel, meet new people from across North Carolina and the nation, and HAVE LOTS OF FUN! We hope that you will get involved in the South Rowan FFA Chapter!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Upcoming Events in 2010! Are you interested in being a leader? Do you hope to be a South Rowan FFA Officer next year? If so, you should attend the NC FFA MEGA Conference on March 20-21, 2010 in Greensboro, NC. During this conference, students will attend workshops where they will learn and develop their leadership abilities. The trip will cost you $100. The permission form and $100 is due by Friday, February 5th.
Do you like playing sports, relaxing and meeting new people? If so, you should attend FFA Recreational Camp on June 14-18, 2010 at White Lake, NC. FFA members from all over NC will compete in athletic (and some non-athletic) events during the week. Events include: basketball, softball, waterball, volleyball, soccer skills, track relays, canoe racing, tug-of-war, talent show, shuffleboard, putt putt, checkers, ping pong. FFA camp costs $200, which includes housing and food for a week. The permission form and a $100 deposit is due by Monday, March 1st.
