Here's what we're doing this week...

We have been studying genetics.  The students are now creating children with certain "inherited characteristics".

This week we are studying plate tectonics.  The students have a project due Nov.7.  They are to create a model of the interior of the Earth.  They are to include the crust, mantle, and core.  These parts have to be labeled and the student will present their model to the class.  This project does not have to cost any money.  I gave the students some examples in class.
