RobWorld-- A Universe of Sound "You are about to enter a dimension of sound, a vast area which attempts to reach the summit of man's mind and breach the limits of imagination...welcome to...THE MUSIC ZONE" I am Dr. W. Dwayne Robertson , and welcome to Dr. Rob's World of Music at Granite Quarry Elementary School. I am the music educator here (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays), and I serve Millbridge Elementary School on Thursdays and Fridays. Mrs. Tiffany Garcia will serve as the music educator at Granite Quarry for students having music on Fridays. For those who have a child (or children) in my music program, I hereby declare that we have engaged upon a rigorous journey this year of music exploration and evolution. Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns, questions, or feedback about our music program at (704) 279-2154 Ext. 2020. November, 2009 We are still in that exciting seasonal time of year which has a variety of interesting learning experiences for the students (and the teachers). We are studying cultural traditions in music from around the world, and some of these sounds will be heard in the upcoming PTA winter concerts I am preparing with Kindergarten and first grade students at both Granite Quarry and Millbridge schools. The fifth grade students are in the process of ordering and receiving their recorders to begin the world of instrumental music-making. My art and P.E. colleagues and I recently conducted individual class center rotations and large group integration activities at both Granite Quarry and Millbridge around Halloween, and we will do similar activities in the short week before we dismiss for Thanksgiving. The winter program at Granite Quarry will be on December 3rd, and the winter program at Mlllbridge will be on December 8th.
