RobWorld-- A Universe of Sound "You are about to enter a dimension of sound, a vast area which attempts to reach the summit of man's mind and breach the limits of imagination...welcome to...THE MUSIC ZONE" I am Dr. W. Dwayne Robertson , and welcome to Dr. Rob's World of Music at Granite Quarry Elementary School. I am the music educator here (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays), and I serve Millbridge Elementary School on Thursdays and Fridays. Mrs. Tiffany Garcia will serve as the music educator at Granite Quarry for students having music on Fridays. For those who have a child (or children) in my music program, I hereby declare that we have engaged upon a rigorous journey this year of music exploration and evolution. March/April, 2010 As with my colleagues in the regular classroom, this winter has been tricky in keeping a sense of continuity within our teaching and learning...but we are still managing to do so in a fruitful manner. Our projects are in full bloom. Honors chorus is zooming with fifth graders across the school system. My fellow music teachers and I are working with students at both Granite Quarry and Millbridge to prepare them for two honors chorus concerts, one on March 20th and one on May 8th. Fifth graders across the school system are also learning a song on their recorders that selected students will perform at the symphony performance in April. Students in other grade levels are continuing to enjoy a variety of activities which are stretching both their musical skills and their imaginations. The third and fourth graders at Granite Quarry are current working on a concert to present at the spring PTA program on April 29th.
