Hello.  I'm Sabra Mills, School Psychologist.  I have been involved in Special Education my entire professional life.  I graduated from Appalachian State University in 1964 with a BS in Special Education.  I received my Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities in 1977 from Kansas State University.  My Specialist Degree in School Psychology was completed in 1983 from University of Idaho.  I have taught learning disabled, mentally disabled (mild and moderate), behaviorally emotionally disabled, autistic, tramatic brain injured, and students with ADHD from preschool through high school.  I have also taught third and fifth grade general education classes.  Prior to returning to RSS, I was head of the Special Education program in Teacher Education at Pfeiffer University.  I love special education.  It is always changing and there is always something new to learn.

I serve the following schools:  Isenberg Elementary, Koontz Elementary, Shive Elementary and Woodleaf Elementary.

If you need to contact me, my office phone number is 704-216-7357.  My email address is millssc@rss.k12.nc.us

THOUGHT for September:  "Take time for what's important to you, for what makes you happiest.  Take time to be with those you love and share your deepest wish, most secret dream, your favorite fantasy.  Take time to look around at all the gladness the world can offer.  All of it is yours, if you only TAKE THE TIME."
