WE ARE CURRENTLY STUDYING CHAPTER 8:
What are the properties of a covalent compound?
What makes a bond polar?
How can a compound have polar bonds, but not be a
polar molecule?
How does hydrogen bonding affect surface tension and
capillarity?
How do unpaired electrons affect the geometry of a
molecule?
Given a chemical formula, a
student will determine the types of
bonds in the molecule, the
geometry of the molecule, and build
a three-dimensional model with the
correct bond angles.
Draw Lewis structures for various
compounds.
