Week of April 16-20 This week, we will begin our study of Southwest Asia/The Middle East. To start our unit, students will complete a Middle East geography contract based on several map activities, charts, graphs, and reading passages. I will post the contract early in the week so that you can check progress at home in their notebook for social studies. Please help students make sure their notebooks are up to date with labels, table of contents and assignments complete. Notebooks will be collected the week of April 23-27  April April 23-27 Notebooks Due Jean week for 7th grade (reward for bringing in board games) April 23 - Honor Roll Tea (recipients also may wear non-uniform on Monday) April 27 - School Dance May May 4 - Early Release day for students May 4-5 Relay For Life at Rowan County Fairgrounds May 8 - Progress Reports May 10 - Science EOG (8th grade only) May 10 - Chorus Concert May 11 - SGA Blood Drive at CGMS May 14 - EOG Survey (all grades) May 15 - EOG Testing May 16 - EOG Testing May 17 - EOG Testing May 18 - EOG Make Up Testing May 24 - Band Concert May 25 - EOG Retests (all grades) May 28 - Holiday May 29 - Rising 6th Grade Orientation June June 1 - Three Strikes Trip June 4 - Algebra EOC (8th Grade only) June 8 - Last day for students; report cards issued
Please review your student's calendar each night. Some students are accumulating infractions for various behaviors and it is important that we all communicate to keep everyone on the right track.
