February 24 - Transportation Museum to see the Wright Brothers Exhibit

Math - students are working hard to understand that working with fractions occurs in all parts of their lives.  This is a difficult skill but they are working hard!  We will continue with fractions as they add and subtraction fractions and mixed numbers with like and unlike denominators.

Reading comprehension will be the focus for small groups as we read stories from our basal and short novels in literature circles.  This will put a lot of responsibility on students and will challenge them to put themselves into their reading.

We will continue to blog and are looking forward to hooking up with a 4th grade class from Isenburg.  We are excited about this new adventure.

Students are learning about many Americans who made contributions to the ideals, inventions, and rights that we have today.  We hope to give our presentation of "Different yet Alike" to parents at the end of February.

4th graders are responsible, respectful, reflective Overton Explorers.

If you have questions, please feel free to call, email, or send a message in your child's agenda.

Multiplication flash cards can be found at the top of this web page.  Using these flash cards is a fun way to review or learn your multiplication facts.  This is an important skill for 4th grade.  Math will be much easier if you know these facts!!   Have fun with the flash cards!
