![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Welcome to Mrs. Trivette's Music Class ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() WOW IT'S JANUARY ALREADY!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Kindergarten Cleveland's Kindergarten will begin working for their PTA program in February. We will perform "The Three Piggy Opera" Enochville's Kindergarten will continue working on basic music skills like keeping a steady beat and playing some new classroom instruments! First Grade This month first graders will talk about size and sound. We are going to pull out the boomwhackers and work on our twelve powerful words by comparing, contrasting, explaining and describing these funny instruments and their sounds! BE READY TO LEARN THE MUSICAL ALPHABET AS WELL! Second Grade WE have some SMART second graders! We are going to work on drawing and identifying rhythm patterns. Be ready to play some rhythm sticks as we read the quarter note, two eighth notes and the rest!!! Third Grade Here we go! We are going to identify different musical notation as we sing and play instruments! Fourth Grade In the Month of January we are going to review our state song "The Old North State". We are also going to learn the state symbol song and the "Wrights take Flight" rap! I hope to record each fourth grade class in garage band. We will also check out some various musical symbols as we are learning the songs! Fifth Grade PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR RECORDER TO MUSIC CLASS!!!! Be ready to REVIEW REVIEW REVIEW your musical reading skills in the month of January! The time has finally come to learn to play the recorder! I expect EVERY student to bring their recorder to music class. If you can not rememeber what day you have music then please look below for your teacher's music day! Enochville Elementary Tuesday Mrs. Barbee Wednesday Mrs. Pruitt Cleveland Elementary Thursday Mrs. Massey Friday Mr. Terry We will apply our musical reading skills by reading notes on the staff and playing different rhythm patterns.
