The "BOYS"(Commander Skipperand Pablo) have been doing just great. All of the families that have been giventhe chance to enjoy them over the past few weekends have been thrilled. Theirjournal book is full with exciting adventures and colorful pictures. The"boys" seem to be minding their own business these days as they hoparound their moss. Maybe they are “hoppy” it is almost Spring ! Luckyguys! Oh, the life of a frog!!! The rest of the students from 5-4 can't waitfor their turn to be selected as the "frog sitter." Thepermission slip explained how simple it is to take care of the frogs over theweekend and a quick reminder is all it takes to make sure our frog sittingfamily feels comfortable. Well folks, this is the hot spot on ourpage. It will keep you posted on the newest news on our classfrogs!!
Student of the Week
Our Student of the Week for February :
Michaela!!
Every four weeks someone from 5-4 will be chosen to be our Student of the Week. In order to be considered for this honor we will be looking for students that do their best in academics, citizenship, and someone that shows good character to their teachers and their peers here at Cayuga.
Check back to see who will be selected for each month!!! Everyone in the class is working hard toward this wonderful goal!
"Most Valuable Person Program"
Our Most Valuable Person Program (MVP) has begun. During our M.V.P. program each child will have the opportunity to be the "M.V.P." for a week. It is a great honor. This is a wonderful chance for students to share with the class personal information about themselves, which makes them a special individual. Each Friday the next “M.V.P.” is selected at random, they will be sent home with a congratulatory letter and a special poster to fill out and decorate. “M.V.P.” presentations will take place on Monday. Check in with your child to find out about the special privileges and rewards that go along with being the "M.V. P.”
Our Current Events Program is Up and Running!!!!!
We are moving full steam ahead with our current events program. This is an ongoing project which will help keep the students aware of the events in our local area, as well as our nation. The students have been assigned specific dates in which they will be responsible for collecting the national news, local news, and a historical happening. They will use this information to write a summary of the selected piece of news and then they will present their information to the class. At the bottom of this web page is a web site to help them with the historical happening section for their assigned day. A parent letter, along with the current events form was sent home, by now everyone in the class knows what is expected. If there are still any questions.... you know where to find me.....
