Students will play a game to help them answer why they may eliminate some answers on EOG questions. Students will also study the genre of Plays this week. We will read a play about Rosa Parks and use the strategy VIP in reading groups. Writing: Students will continue working on the Fourth Grade Writing assignment/Content Specific assessment this week. They will write a paper about how you can lead a healthy lifestyle by the foods you eat and the exercises you do. They have completed a Nutrition unit and have lots of research to include in their papers. This will be an on-going assignment for a few weeks. PARENT/GUARDIAN CORNER Please remember to check your students agenda each night and sign it. This is where I will let you know how their day has been and what strip they ended the day on. I may write you a note and this is a great place for you to write me or paperclip a note for me. I check agendas daily. We are also low on these classroom essentials. If you can help us out, please send after the holidays:

Dates to look forward to: Feb. 17-19: Field Trip to see Midsummer Night More Info to come on date/time Spelling Words Test on Tuesday, Feb. 16 body music color stand sun questions fish area mark dog horse birds problem complete room knew since ever piece told Remediation Block Beginning on Monday, Feb. 8 we will begin 45 minutes of Remediation for reading and math. There will also be a block of enhancements for those students who need it. The students will work in small groups to target specific skills and EOG practice questions for reading and math. We know with our team pulling together and planning enrichment activities for our students we will see growth in reading and math. Updates On RSS Websites Here is a new update on the RSS Website.
