Hello and welcome to my schoolnotes page. I am Mrs. Helman, the Assistant Principal at Silver Palms Elementary.

 I graduated from the University of Miami with a Masters Degree in
Education with a specialization in Counseling and Guidance.
Go Canes!!

I am married and have two grown daughters. When my daughters were in High School I went back to school to add Educational Leadership to my certification. I took classes at Florida Atlantic University (FAU).
As the Assistant Principal of our wonderful school I work closely with the Principal, Mrs. Walker. We work together to create a safe learning environment for you.
Sometimes you will see us visiting classrooms. We might stop and ask you what you are learning about. Be ready!
You will see us some mornings on the school's news, WSPN. We will be sharing important events and information.
 Watch the school newsletter for upcoming events.  We will look for you at the family nights!  As always, we appreciate the support of our families!
Summer is quickly fading and students are hard at work in their classrooms.  As I walk around the school I note how much teaching and learning is going on!  We have the best students in the west and we look forward to a great 2009 - 2010 school year!
