Your children will truly enter the world of tomorrow when they step through the doors of the Sumrall Elementary Media Center. Educators have realized for some time that children learn best when a multimedia approach is used. This means that along with using books, a teacher might select and utilize instructional television (ITV), computers, digital video discs, videos, music, e-readers and so on to teach a lesson. Sumrall Elementary Media Center will provide teachers and students with access to and instruction in all types of media. Please stop in and visit during open house.

NUMBER OF BOOKS A STUDENT MAY CIRCULATE
- Grade 1: One book per visit
- Grades 2-5: Two books per visit
SPECIAL NOTES
All students checking out books from the library must have their AR folder with them. Each student is given a personalized bar code attached to their AR folder, this is used for checking out books. Students are not allowed to take their AR folder home, those must remain at school.
- Please do not punish your child if he/she loses a library book. We ask, if this happens, that you sign a note indicating you are aware of the situation and your child will be allowed to continue circulation of materials. We usually do not send bills until the end of the school year as most books eventually turn up.
- Make a special effort to know when your child's media day is.
- I encourage all students to keep their library books in their backpack at home when they are not reading them. Young children become very upset when they forget their books.
- Please feel free to come in and visit our center or call if you have any questions.
- Our number is 758-4289. Ext:7551
