Nobles Team 2009-2010 Mrs. McCoy Language Arts and Science GO PATRIOTS!!!!!! We are reading a a great novel written by Jerry Spinelli. The title of the book is Who Put That Hair In My Toothbrush. We are learning about the elements of a plot, characterization, conflict and questions stems. We are getting ready to embark on the writing process to prepare for the 7th grade writing test. Thank you for your support as we guide your child through the 6th grade at SEMS!Your child will be bringing home a reading log starting the week of Sept 21. They will be required to read for 30 minutes a night. This reading should be enjoyable and not related to homework. Please allow them to read ANYTHING that is of interest to them. A parent will have to sign this log daily. In Science, yes I said science. Mrs. DeBord and I have decided to switch subjects!!! I LOVE SCIENCE. We are going to be learning about heat and the energy it contains. Field Trip money is due by Oct 2. Please remember to sign agendas daily!! |
