I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Gator Friends,

Look what we will be doing the week of December 1:

Writing:  We will continue Writer's Workshop this week.  We will understand how to revise and proofread our writing.      

Spelling:  We will recognize the eer and ear pattern this week.  We will have an assessment on Friday.

WHOLE GROUP:  We will identify new vocabulary and discuss the elements of a play as we prepare to read JOHNNY APPLESEED.  We will create mental images as we listen to THE LITTLE RED HOUSE and JOHNNY APPLESEED.      

SMALL GROUPS:   Blue Gators will be reading Marvin Redpost Alone in His Teachers House and the Green Gators will read Mouse Soup.

MATH:  We will continue to add 2 digit numbers this week and review for our test.

MATH TEST WILL BE ON 12/4/08.

12/1  Book-It Calendar due
12/19:  We will have our Holiday Celebration from 2-3pm.  Parents are welcome to attend!!!
12/23: 1:00 Dismissal
12/24-1/4  Winter Vacation

Book-It for November:  Earn a Pizza Hut certificate by reading setting a goal for how many minutes you want to read for the month. Send back the calendar on 12/1/08.  Look for the new calendar.  

We are going to have a fabulous learning week.
